DANIEL SHERRIN

British, 1870–1942

BIOGRAPHY
“Daniel Sherrin was active from 1895 to 1922. His landscapes, such as Morning near Reigate Heath; Golden Autumn Days; Summer's Day, are sensitive depictions of the changing light and atmosphere, according to the time of day or season. Sherrin, also a painter of seascapes, was able to render detailed and informed renditions of ships, as in Three-master in High Wind; In Full Sail” (Benezit, Dictionary of Artists, Gründ, 2006).
