BIOGRAPHY
Bertodano was born in Madrid and studied with Casto Plasencia (1846-1890). He was awarded a medal in 1895 and, in 1897–98, he illustrated the Duke de Rivas' book Cuadros se la fantasia y la vida real. In addition to painting views in the Alhambra, Bertodano also painted Courtyard in Cordoba and historical genre works
