BIOGRAPHY
'Percy Tarrant lived in London from 1881 to 1889. He participated in the exhibitions at the Royal Academy in London from 1905 to 1919 and several times at the Walker Gallery in Liverpool. He became known as an illustrator of Christmas cards, and later of books such as Wuthering Heights and Little Women. Like his daughter he also painted compositions with children as the subjects.' (Benezit, Dictionary of Artists, Gründ, 2006)
