BIOGRAPHY
The artist was a student of Fernand Cormon and Fernand Humbert at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris.  He later studied with Maillart.  La Houge was a regular exhibitor at the Paris Salon, winning an honorable mention in 1901 and a medal in 1902.  Works by the artist are in several museum collections, including the museum in Caen which has a painting depicting an artist’s studio.
