BIOGRAPHY
'John Enneking travelled to Paris, where he was a pupil of Bonnat and Daubigny between 1872 and 1874, then of Lear in Munich. Prior to these travels he had worked in Cincinnati and Boston. He later returned to Boston, where he exhibited at the Boston Art Club. He won medals in numerous exhibitions. He also worked in Minster, Ohio.'  (Benezit, Dictionary of Artists, Gründ, 2006)
