JOHN PENDRAY

BIOGRAPHY
The artist studied at St. Martin's School of Art in London and taught painting in London until moving to Marseille in 1969. Pendray was appointed Official Painter of the French Navy in 2001 and, in addition to sailing, travels extensively aboard ships of the navy to such destinations as the Solomon Islands, Sea of Oman, the Caribbean, Polynesia and Iceland.

Pendray's work has been widely exhibited, notably at Salle Pleyel in Paris, the National Maritime Musuem of France, the Monaco Yacht Club, and the Maritime Museum of St. Tropez.
