BIOGRAPHY
Paul Lecomte studied under Émile Lambinet.  He exhibited regularly in the Paris Salons and won honorable mentions in 1882 and 1889.  In 1888 he won médailles de troisiéme classe and a second place medal in 1900.  The Musée de Mulhouse houses his work in their collection.  His son Paul Emile Lecomte (1877-1950) studied under him and followed in his footsteps painting canvases in the countryside of the Ile-de-France and Normandy.
