BIOGRAPHY
Raymond Hill was born in Uxbridge, Massachusetts. He was a pupil at the Rhode Island School of Design, Providence and the California School of Fine Arts, San Francisco and studied with Dante Sicci in Rome, Italy.
From 1927 to 1961, Hill was a professor in the art department at the University of Washington in Seattle. He had one-man exhibitions at the Denver Art Museum, Seattle Art Museum, Provincetown Art Gallery, Providence Art Club, Tacoma Art League, the Henry Gallery, Seattle and the University of Washington.
