Wilfrid and Jane de Glehn joined John Singer Sargent in Venice in September 1904 after their honeymoon trips to Cornwall and Brittany. While visiting Venice, Sargent painted his famous watercolor of the newly married couple, Sketching on the Giudecca, Venice, currently in a private collection.
